Product Overview
Every year, a mass of CDs and DVDs are produced and in the meanwhile, millions of them are ended up in the landfill or incinerators. CD & DVD Recycling actually is quite necessary for environment.
Do you know what are CDs and DVDs made of? CDs and DVDs’ body is mainly made of the number 7 plastic (polycarbonate). Number 7 plastic is very high quality plastic. Many daily items can be made from this type of plastic, such as household articles, car accessories, office supplies, etc. The disc surface is with dye layer and reflective layer. The dye layer is for data storage purpose, and the reflective layer is for reflecting the light from the laser reader. The surface layer is made of certain metals.
It is not good to end up the discs in the landfills and incinerators because the materials are not biodegradable and may release harmful substance to the environment and indirectly endanger human health. Burning will also release harmful fumes to the air, resulting air pollution.choose one CD and DVD two shaft shredder seems very important.
Therefore, the best way to handle the unwanted CDs and DVDs is to recycle or reuse them. The general recycling process of these discs is to collect first, then separate and sort each disc by material types because usually each disc contains case, cover paper, and disc. Each type of these material can be recycled respectively. After sorting, you have accumulated the discs together, and then shred and reprocessed them into new raw material to reproduce new products.

Details
Detachable box
The shredding chamber can be disassembled from either end, allowing the main shaft to be removed by detaching the mounting plates. After disassembly, the cutter body and bearings can be inspected and replaced if needed. Properly positioning the main shaft and bearings centrally during installation is essential for maintaining structural integrity and longevity. |
Heavy-load planetary reducer
The box features a rigid casting reducer with gussets. Its robust gear is made from high-quality steel alloy, treated with carburizing and quenching. Precision gear grinding ensures stable power transmission, low noise, and improved carrying capacity. |
Detachable cutter
The detachable blade design significantly reduces replacement time. Each crushing blade consists of three parts and can be easily replaced by loosening and retightening the bolt. |
Electric system
The electric cabinet features a Siemens/Schneider PLC and a touch screen to enhance human-machine interaction, utilizing Siemens/Schneider electrical components. |
Sealing system
The bearing features a quadruple sealing design that makes it dustproof and waterproof, extending its service life and enabling excellent performance in outdoor, dusty environments. |
Auxiliary system
An optional pressing device accelerates material crushing, while a rotating screen ensures dimensional uniformity of the crushed products. |
Splined main shaft
The moving blade base and main shaft are aligned using spline transmission, featuring a large surface junction to prevent stress concentration. The spiral design enhances crushing efficiency and reduces energy consumption. The moving blade base undergoes 100% ultrasonic and non-destructive inspection to maximize the cutter's crushing capacity. |
Heavy-load self-aligning bearing
Heavy-load self-aligning bearings are installed on both main shafts to absorb impact forces when blades experience heavy loads. ENERPAT shredders use top brands like FAG and SKF as standard bearing configurations. |
